West Ham emerged victorious against Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League, securing the championship title.

In a thrilling turn of events, Jarrod Bowen's goal in the final minute of the match sealed West Ham's triumph in the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina. This victory marked West Ham's first major European trophy since 1965, cementing their success with a 2-1 scoreline.

West Ham's victory in the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina marked their second European trophy, following their win in the now defunct Cup Winners' Cup 58 years ago, featuring football legends Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst from England's World Cup-winning team.

The decisive moment came in the 90th minute when Jarrod Bowen received an excellent through ball from Lucas Paqueta and calmly slotted a low shot past Fiorentina goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano, securing the win. Bowen expressed his joy, stating that scoring the winning goal in the last minute was a dream come true, especially in front of passionate fans.

West Ham took the lead in Prague through Said Benrahma, who fired a penalty past Terracciano in the 62nd minute after VAR detected a handball by Cristiano Biraghi while attempting to stop Bowen in the box. However, Fiorentina quickly equalized five minutes later when Giacomo Bonaventura scored with a precise low right-footed strike, capitalizing on a superb header back from Nicolas Gonzalez.

With this victory, West Ham's name will be inscribed as the second-ever champion on the Conference League trophy, following Roma's triumph in the inaugural edition of the competition last year. Additionally, West Ham secured a spot in next season's Europa League, while Fiorentina, finishing eighth in Serie A, will miss out on European competition.

Prior to this achievement, West Ham's last major trophy was the FA Cup in 1980. Despite facing the threat of relegation for most of the previous season, they managed to finish 14th in the Premier League.

Jarrod Bowen expressed his delight at fulfilling the dream of giving the fans this memorable moment, despite acknowledging the team's challenging season. The game started slowly, with Fiorentina dominating possession but lacking significant scoring opportunities. Fiorentina came closest to scoring just before halftime when Christian Kouame's header struck the post from Gonzalez's cross. Luka Jovic's goal was disallowed for offside after tapping in a rebound.

The match intensified after the goals, with both teams showing increased energy, earning corners and creating chances. Rolando Mandragora and Sofyan Amrabat narrowly missed scoring for Fiorentina, while Tomas Soucek's header was saved by Terracciano.

Before the game, Prague police reported the detention of 16 individuals following an altercation where Fiorentina fans attacked West Ham supporters in a bar in central Prague. Three people sustained minor injuries.
