The Warriors' trio of stars proved ineffective against the unavoidable outcome in their defeat.

In Sacramento, as the final buzzer echoed and the Warriors faced defeat, there was no outburst of frustration, no defiant gestures, no disrespect towards their victorious opponents. Instead, there was a symbolic acknowledgment of the Sacramento Kings' triumph and a sober recognition of the inevitable reality that unfolded in a decisive 118-94 loss in the NBA Play-In Tournament on Tuesday night at Golden 1 Center. "We've been incredibly fortunate here with exceptional players, multiple championships, and appearances in the Finals," remarked coach Steve Kerr. "We've experienced the pinnacle of success. And now, this is the other side of the coin. This is life. This is the way things unfold. You can't remain at the top indefinitely." The illustrious recent history of the Golden State Warriors offered no advantage against the youthful, more determined Sacramento Kings in this play-in matchup. The Warriors found themselves powerless as memories of their

The comprehensive list of 22 songs performed on the opening night of Olivia Rodrigo's Guts Tour.

The inaugural show of Olivia Rodrigo's Guts Tour, debuting in Palm Springs on Friday night, has officially entered the record books. Fans curious about the setlist now have a glimpse of what to anticipate as the tour travels across the U.S. and Europe over the next six months.

For those wondering about possible cover songs, there are none this time. The entire 22-song set consists of tracks from Rodrigo's two albums, "Sour" and "Guts," incorporating even one of the exclusive bonus tracks from the latter album, namely "Obsessed" – a delightful addition for fans who are particularly devoted.

While Rodrigo sported an "I'm Just a Girl" T-shirt for the encore, the No Doubt song itself was not part of the performance, unlike many concerts during her 2022 tour. It's evident that she considers the covers from her debut tour as a way to enhance a set built on a 35-minute freshman album. However, with enough original material now to fill a 95-minute set, Rodrigo was enthusiastic about showcasing almost all of it live. In fact, she performed all 12 songs from the standard edition of "Guts," along with the bonus track as the 13th piece. As for "Sour," Rodrigo included nine out of its 11 songs in the set, excluding only "1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back" and the poignant closing track "Hope Ur OK."

A notable departure from the 2022 tour was the addition of eight dancers, occasionally engaging in choreography visible in overhead camera shots but often stepping away from the stage during the most intimate or energetically charged numbers.

While the tour's production doesn't feature extravagant elements by contemporary standards, Olivia Rodrigo's charisma stands as a compelling special effect. However, a significant production highlight was a quarter-moon prop on which Rodrigo perched while singing, circling the arena during two numbers, "Logical" and "Enough for You."

Exiting the 95-minute performance, Rodrigo was in high spirits, descending from one of the two ramps extending into the general admission area to connect with fans gathered around the ramp for a few minutes.

Variety will provide a comprehensive review of the opening night, including show photos, on Saturday. The speculation about the setlist had dominated discussions on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) throughout the day leading up to the performance, underscoring the Guts Tour's status as one of the hottest tickets of 2024.

Rodrigo kicked off the tour on Friday night in the same area where it will conclude: her hometown of Southern California. The performance took place at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, a venue that many Californian concert attendees are still unfamiliar with, given its recent opening just 14 months ago. Numerous Los Angeles music enthusiasts had not yet ventured to the desert to experience the region's newest large-scale facility. The tour will circle back and conclude with four shows at the Kia Forum from August 14 to 17.

Chappell Roan served as the opening act on Friday night and will continue to do so for all of Rodrigo's tour dates until April 2. Afterward, the Breeders will take over for a few dates, followed by Remi Wolf and PinkPantheress.
