Alabama's Dallas Turner scheduled to hold meetings with the Bears, Vikings, and other teams ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

As the 2024 NFL draft approaches, the list of potential teams interested in Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner appears to be taking shape.

Turner revealed to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that he has arranged visits with the Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, and Minnesota Vikings in the lead-up to the draft.

Turner opted not to fully participate in Alabama's pro day in Tuscaloosa, which was not unexpected given his status as one of the top defensive prospects in the draft. According to Bleacher Report's big board, he ranks as the No. 12 overall player and the second-best edge rusher behind Florida State's Jared Verse.

B/R NFL scout Matt Holder likened Turner to former linebacker Manny Lawson, who amassed 24.5 sacks over a 10-year career.

Holder commented, "Dallas Turner stands out as possibly the most exceptional athlete among this year's edge prospects. He possesses impressive initial acceleration and demonstrates fluid movement when navigating laterally. Additionally, his remarkable speed enables him to quickly close in on quarterbacks and execute chase-down tackles down the field."

The Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, and Minnesota Vikings are all potential destinations where Dallas Turner could land.

In the upcoming NFL draft, the Bears are widely expected to secure USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick. However, when they return to the draft board at No. 9, they might shift their focus to bolstering their defense. Meanwhile, the Falcons have already addressed their quarterback situation by signing Kirk Cousins, effectively removing themselves from the quarterback market. On the other hand, the Vikings, who are in need of a successor for Cousins, might have different priorities with the 11th pick, which could depend on the availability and their evaluation of Michigan's J.J. McCarthy.

While coaches, executives, and talent evaluators would have preferred to witness Turner's skills firsthand during drills and workouts on Wednesday, the Alabama edge rusher has already left a strong impression with his performances on film.

Nevertheless, Turner will have the opportunity to meet with at least three teams personally, providing them with another chance to evaluate his potential fit within their respective organizations.
