LeBron James notched nine points playing for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Denver Nuggets in a home game, marking a significant milestone. This accomplishment comes in his 21st NBA season, solidifying his status as the oldest active player in the league.

On Saturday, LeBron James, the American basketball sensation, made history by becoming the initial NBA player to reach 40,000 career points. This accomplishment comes in his 21st NBA season, solidifying his position as the oldest active player in the league. Notably, just over a year ago, James surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to claim the NBA's all-time scoring record.

James puts up 9 points following a left-handed layup.

On Saturday, he contributed nine points for the Los Angeles Lakers during a home game against the Denver Nuggets.

James secured five points in the initial quarter and then executed a layup only 14 seconds into the second quarter. Shortly after, he successfully executed a left-handed layup with 10:39 remaining in the second quarter.

While James expressed that he didn't view this milestone as the pinnacle of his career achievements, he acknowledged its significance.

"No one has done it. And for me to be in this position at this point in my career, I think it's pretty cool," James remarked.

"Is it one of the top things I've done in my career? No. Does it mean something? Of course. Why wouldn't it?" he added.

Who is LeBron James?

LeBron James, hailing from Akron, Ohio, entered the league as a teenager and has achieved significant success throughout his career. With four NBA titles earned with three different teams, four MVP awards, and four Finals MVP awards, James has left an indelible mark on the basketball world. Looking ahead, he holds a player option for the 2024-25 NBA season, granting him the choice to continue with the Lakers for another year or explore unrestricted free agency. As of now, James has not made a commitment to the Lakers beyond the current season.
