Analysis indicates that the All-NBA team for this season will resemble more of an All-World team once again.

Although the voting for the NBA MVP award has not yet occurred, it seems highly likely that Nikola Jokic from the Denver Nuggets will secure the title this season, thus continuing the streak of foreign-born players winning the trophy for six consecutive years.

This trend of international dominance extends beyond the MVP race. Luka Doncic of Dallas is poised to become the scoring champion unless New York's Jalen Brunson scores an improbable 101 points per game in the remaining week. Similarly, Domantas Sabonis of Sacramento is on track to win the rebounding title over Minnesota's Rudy Gobert, who might secure the defensive player of the year award again. San Antonio's Victor Wembanyama is set to be the blocked-shots champion and is a strong contender for rookie of the year.

Notably, Jokic hails from Serbia, while Doncic is from Slovenia. Sabonis, though technically born in the U.S., represents Lithuania internationally. As the league considers new ideas for the All-Star Game, including a potential U.S. vs. The World format, the depth of international talent continues to be a significant aspect of the NBA landscape.
